The contracted doctors network department, in which Petra works with other colleagues, handles comprehensive work concerning occupational health services in regions. Her primary task and responsibility is to contract new doctors and communicate with them in such a manner that they are ready to perform occupational health services for EUC PLS clients in accordance with its standards.

Petra is very active and adaptable, so she is not surprised by any non-standard situations that need to be dealt with. This work brings new challenges and tasks every day, priorities change and Petra can handle this tempo easily and with lightness.

Her aim is that a client does not wait a long time for an appointment and after the examination itself he leaves with a smile on his face. In addition, she tries to keep contracted doctors happy, because only this can ensure a balance and satisfaction with services and cooperation.

She would be happy to get it into people’s head that cancelling an examination is no reason to be embarrassed. On the contrary, the client frees up a slot for another person, who will be happy to take advantage of it, and therefore shows the doctors that he values their time. Unfortunately, even today, employees are not used to cancelling appointments, they simply do not show up, so there are delays with subsequent appointments and certain dissatisfaction on the part of contractual partners. According to our experience, approx. 20% of employees do not cancel an appointment, which causes problems with doctors’ capacity.

How does the contracting process work with a newly contracted facility/doctor?

We most frequently look for a new partner due to a lack of capacity in a location or due to a new client active in a place that did not previously require coverage by a doctor. In such cases a standard process starts up:

• Monitoring of the location and selecting a suitable facility/surgery
• Contacting of a doctor and a basic explanation of cooperation
• A personal visit to the surgery and the signature of a cooperation agreement, the handover of documents and training regarding the method of cooperation, invoicing, work with assessments, etc.
• After the signature of the contract, it is necessary to input a facility into the internal databases and hand over information to the other teams
